Does this trade make sense for the Portland Trail Blazers?
It is time for the Portland Trail Blazers to make a decision. The duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have not taken the franchise to where they want to be and it has been quite a long time now. The front office will have to make a choice and it could end up being that Lillard wants out of town. This would force their hand.
If the Knicks offer a haul like this, the Trail Blazers could be persuaded. McCollum would make the move to the top of the offense and be surrounded with some players set to rebuild.
Immanuel Quickley showed some promise this season while Toppin began coming on at the end. Robinson is an intriguing piece because he has a high ceiling but has not been able to stay healthy.
These are all players on rookie deals so the Trail Blazers would be able to shed some cap in hopes of adding another big-name player with CJ McCollum.

Lillard being moved would be the ultimate blockbuster deal this offseason. Portland will have plenty of options if they make Lillard available via trade. The additional draft assets that New York gained from the Kristaps Porzingis trade could help to differentiate themselves with most other offers.
