Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
Marvin Bagley III is a former No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft that has not reached his potential just yet. The Sacramento Kings had high expectations for Bagley coming into the league but they have not been fulfilled. This is a chance for Sacramento to land a replacement big man while giving Bagley a change of scenery.
Myles Turner is a proven commodity. He lead the league in blocks per game this season and showed that he is a true rim protector. On the offensive end of the floor, Turner is beginning to incorporate a three-point shot into his game.
Turner also has an ability to put the ball on the floor to get to the rim from the perimeter. He would make for an intriguing pick-and-pop/roll partner with De’Aaron Fox. It’s not easy to find a player with that type of skill-set, especially when coupled with elite rim protection.
Most importantly, Turner would bring some experience and leadership to a young team. The Kings need all the help they can get and adding some proven players would help right away.

It seems like it is going to be a long time before the Kings are ready to compete. That is, of course, unless the front office really locks in and becomes aggressive in finding some moves. This is one that could jump start the process and speed up the rebuild.
