Malcolm Brogdon
Following the move to trade Walker, the Boston Celtics are now in need of finding a point guard that meshes well with Tatum and Brown. Walker wasn’t a terrible player for Boston, but he never seemed to be a fit for the Celtics as he needed the ball to be effective for the majority of games. When you have Tatum and Brown, having someone like Walker at point guard never made much sense.

With a vacant starting spot at point guard, the Celtics should look to the Indiana Pacers about possibly acquiring Malcolm Brogdon. The Pacers are in for an interesting offseason after the team ousted Nate Bjorkgren just one year after naming him their next head coach.
Indiana has to determine who they want to build around in a group that features Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, T.J. Warren, Domantas Sabonis, and Myles Turner.
Seeing that the team traded for LeVert, he’s probably the safest choice to remain with the team next season. In that case, Brogdon could be made available for the right price. The Celtics could offer Marcus Smart and more for Brogdon, giving the Pacers a two-way guard to replace Brogdon.
As for Boston, Brogdon can excel off of the ball from Tatum and Brown due to his ability to catch-and-shoot. Above all, Malcolm Brogdon would immediately give the Celtics a much-needed boost on the defensive end.
