2. The New York Knicks finally land a superstar

It was quite the season for the New York Knicks in their first year under Tom Thibodeau. The Knicks secured the four seed in the Eastern Conference after posting a 41-31 record in the regular season. Sadly, New York would be eliminated quickly by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.

Even though the Knicks didn’t have the ending they wanted, there is reason for optimism moving forward. Thibodeau has laid the foundation for a winning culture, which could convince star players to join New York. After failing to lure a superstar to the Big Apple in recent years, the Knicks finally land a big fish this offseason.

1. Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook are both traded from the Washington Wizards

Similar to Lillard, Bradley Beal has to realize that he is going to achieve his goal of a championship on the Wizards, right? Beal has been mentioned in trade rumors in recent seasons, only for him to pledge his commitment to Washington. However, after having another quick exit in the playoffs, maybe Beal has a change of heart as he enters the prime of his career.

Basically every team in the NBA would be calling to make an offer on Beal if he were made available. And if Beal is traded elsewhere, Russell Westbrook would likely want to be sent somewhere that has a better chance of winning as well.
