6. The Golden State Warriors trade James Wiseman

The Golden State Warriors had their choice of either James Wiseman or LaMelo Ball in the 2020 NBA Draft. Instead of adding an exciting guard like Ball, the Warriors sided with Wiseman, in hopes he could bolster their frontcourt. While Wiseman showed potential at times, it was a shaky rookie season that was cut short by a season-ending injury.

After missing out on the playoffs, Golden State made it clear that they don’t intend to trade Wiseman already. But things could change as the Warriors realize that their window to win with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green is nearing a close.

5. CJ McCollum is also traded to a team in the Western Conference

Once again, there could be more changes brewing in Portland this offseason after Stotts was fired as head coach. Besides trading Lillard to a team in the Western Conference, the Trail Blazers send CJ McCollum to a rival in the West. If Lillard isn’t traded, it almost seems inevitable that McCollum could be placed on the trade block, with the team looking to pair Lillard with a new star.

While McCollum isn’t a popular player among the NBA community, for some odd reason, there would be a ton of teams interested in acquiring the veteran shooting guard.
