Finding two-way wings in today’s NBA is no easy feat, and the amount of stars that can classify themselves as a two-way wing are dime a dozen. One star that could be argued as a two-way wing in the league is Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors. Sometimes, Siakam gets a bad rap in NBA circles due to his inconsistency at times with his shooting and he isn’t the most exciting player to watch when he’s on the court.

But don’t forget that when the Raptors won the NBA title in 2019, Siakam was the second-best player on the floor in most games alongside Kawhi Leonard. Since then, Siakam has developed into a more well-rounded offensive player that can provide versatility at the forward spots. Pascal Siakam is capable of slotting in at small forward, and he can also play power forward, creating more spacing on the court, which would benefit Doncic tremendously.

Also, getting a forward that can handle the ball and create his own shot is something that would lighten the weight on Doncic’s shoulders. In recent seasons, Doncic has been unable to defer to anyone else consistently, especially with Porzingis spending most of his time as strictly a spot-up shooter.

The Raptors could be looking to make some alterations to the roster this offseason, and that could make Pascal Siakam available for the right price. The Dallas Mavericks would be wise to bolster their front court by getting someone like Siakam to pair with Doncic.
