Los Angeles Clippers
Finally, the Clippers have to be mentioned on this list. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have L.A. playing for an NBA Finals appearance this season, currently being tied 2-2 in a heated series with the Utah Jazz at the time of this writing. No matter what happens the rest of the way this year for the Clippers, they need to add a point guard this offseason.
Tyler Herro would be a perfect compliment to George and Leonard. He would give the team a much-needed upgrade over Reggie Jackson and Patrick Beverley.
What could the Clippers offer the Heat in exchange for Herro? That would be the tricky part. Los Angeles could center their offer around a package including Beverley, Terrance Mann, and draft picks. Miami may not want any part of that offer, but Los Angeles should still try to see what they can do.
This may be the most unlikely scenario of the three, but the Clippers and Herro would be an ideal fit. His game on the offensive end of the court would take a ton of pressure off of Leonard and George. Herro’s ability to create not only for himself but for his teammates would be on full display with two superstars on the court with him.
Los Angeles will be active once again this offseason. They want to win a ring and acquiring Herro would help them towards that goal in a big way.
