There have been talks in the past of the Portland Trail Blazers splitting up their duo but nothing has been done just yet. Another first-round exit could do the trick.

Portland was eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the first round this year. This is the fourth time in five years that the Trail Blazers have failed to advance in the playoffs. It is unlikely that the Blazers decide to trade Lillard on their own.
CJ McCollum seems like the likely candidate but that could change if Damian Lillard decides to request a trade and attempt to force himself out of the current situation. Lillard has made it clear that he just wants to win. If he feels like Portland is not the place to do that, his tenure could be coming to an end.
This would be the ultimate blockbuster deal. Damian Lillard is one of the top players in the league and is a legend in Portland. This would devastate Blazer fans and be one of the most shocking deals in recent memory.
