Why This Is A Good Trade For Sacramento
This is a good trade for the Sacramento Kings because they are ready to put themselves in a position to compete for a playoff spot. The Kings have some good talent in Buddy Hield at the shooting guard position, but the emergence of rookie Tyrese Haliburton could make Hield expendable in an effort to add some depth to some other areas of need.
The Kings would benefit heavily from some veteran additions in Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala and the arrival of rookie power forward Precious Achiuwa is a nice piece to add as well. Achiuwa would compete for some minutes off the bench in Sacramento and the former No. 20 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft could pan out to be a really nice player.
Dragic is a veteran guard for Miami, and he could be a nice mentor for Tyrese Haliburton to learn from. Dragic and Iguodala have had their fair share of success, and their additions to the Kings could give them some much needed depth on their roster. Both Iggy and Dragic are stout defenders as well, which makes this trade very beneficial for the Kings.
Sacramento may not want to get this much veteran talent in a deal for Hield, but it could very well make sense if they are motivated to trade Hield.
