After back-to-back blowout wins in Games 2 and 3 for the Philadelphia 76ers, many expected them to complete the sweep of this NBA playoff series on Monday night against the Washington Wizards, but Russell Westbrook and co. put up a terrific fight and were able to keep their season alive, winning 122-114 over the 76ers in Game 4.
While the 76ers are still in the driver’s seat in this series up 3-1, there is definitely some cause for concern for them moving forward. In the first-quarter of Game 4, Joel Embiid took a hard fall and appeared to have injured his right knee.

Embiid left the game shortly after the injury had occurred and was escorted by the 76ers’ staff to the locker room, where he did not return to the game nor the 76ers’ bench. The MVP finalist missed nearly a month during the regular season with a hyperextended knee injury in his left knee, so this is not a “reoccurring injury,” which could be good news for Embiid and the Sixers.
However, there is no word on how serious this injury is right now and if he will be able to play in Game 5 for the 76ers as they go back to Philadelphia to play the Wizards. If Embiid does miss some time, this series could definitely get interesting, especially if Washington steals Game 5 from the Sixers.
Nonetheless, there is a lot to talk about in terms of what occurred in the Wizards’ Game 4 victory, so let’s dive in and take a look at the biggest takeaways from this game.
