Given his gifted athleticism and his frame at the shooting guard position, Beasley is a young and rising player that could be gearing up to have a breakout season next year. He spent the first two and a half years of his career in Denver with the Nuggets, but after being traded to the Timberwolves at the trade deadline in 2020, he has really carved out a role for himself in the league.
Detroit is going to be in a position this offseason where they will be looking for other young, athletic talents to pair with Jerami Grant and their young core, which is why Beasley could be a great fit for them. They need a reliable shooting guard and with Beasley being under contract through the 2023-24 season, he is exactly the kind of player the Pistons need.

Minnesota may be reluctant to give him up given how successful he has been for them, but the Timberwolves do need a lot of extra talent on their roster since they have virtually no depth. Getting Sekou Doumbouya, Rodney mcGruder and Josh Jackson could definitely be advantageous for them, especially since they will be searching for ways to add affordable talent in the offseason.
This is an intriguing trade situation for both teams, but is it actually plausible? Let’s take a look at if this trade truly makes sense for both the Pistons and the Timberwolves.
