Spencer Dinwiddie
The Charlotte Hornets could have a hole in their backcourt rotation this summer. Devonte’ Graham and Malik Monk are both free agents. While both are restricted free agents and the team has Bird Rights, teams may offer them deals too rich for the Hornets’ blood. If that is the case, they will need to find a replacement and Spencer Dinwiddie could be it.

Dinwiddie played in only three games this season after injuring his ACL but was a popular name on the rumor mill. Multiple teams inquired about his availability at the trade deadline, as they wanted to acquire him and his Bird Rights if he opted out of his contract, which he is expected to do.
Dinwiddie would provide some more scoring punch for Charlotte, something they would need if Graham and Monk both depart. He has experience as both a starter and coming off the bench, and with his skill set, he can play on or off the ball.
If Dinwiddie opts out and the Hornets require another guard, he should be near the top of their target list.
