2. Bruce Brown, Guard, Brooklyn Nets
With the next player on this list, defense is the focus once again. Bruce Brown would give the Wizards some much-needed defensive versatility. Offensively, he has found a niche as a screener and slasher with the Brooklyn Nets, something he can do with the Wizards as well. That experience playing alongside ball-dominant superstars is noteworthy, as he would be comfortable in a similar role in Washington.
Brown is one of the players that could cash in this offseason. He has played well with the Nets and other teams are taking notice. The former Miami FL product may price himself out of Washington, but he is the type of player that the organization should be targeting this offseason; players who can impact the game offensively without the ball in their hands and get after it defensively.
During the regular season this year, Brown averaged 8.8 points per game to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He shot 55.6 percent from the floor overall and 28.8 percent from three-point range.
Washington would not be making this move as a way to power themselves into title contention, but he would be an excellent depth addition to the roster.
