Julius Randle and RJ Barrett are young, All-Star-caliber players to build with
The most appealing thing about the Knicks for star-level players in the NBA to potentially join them is the fact that Julius Randle and RJ Barrett are the two core pieces of this team. Not only are they 26 and 20-years-old respectively, but both guys have a ton of potential in this league.
RJ Barrett is in his second season in the league and this year, he has had a fantastic season, averaging 17.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and shooting 44.1% from the floor, 40.1% from three-point range.

Everything about RJ Barrett’s game signifies that he is going to be an All-Star one day and given the role he already has next to Julius Randle, he is the picture-perfect, young talent that any star player should want to play with.
The same can be said for Julius Randle, who is likely going to be named this year’s recipient of the Most Improved Player Award. Not only is Randle leading the Knicks in scoring, assists, rebounding, steals, field goals made and player efficiency rating, but he was named an All-Star for the first-time in his career!
On the year, Julius Randle is currently averaging 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 0.9 steals and is shooting 45.6% from the floor, 41.1% from three-point range. The strides he has made to become an overall great offensive player in this league has not only made him the best player on the Knicks, but one of the best frontcourt talents in the entire league.
At just 26-years-old, he is just entering the prime of his career and he is only going to get better from here, which is scary though given how good he is already! With two young players with a ton of potential on the rise in their respective careers, New York is the perfect destination for any proven, star-level talent looking to join a playoff contender.
The Knicks have everything any star of the league should want and given that they are in the biggest market in sports in NYC, the New York Knicks will not only be in the market to sign/trade for multiple star-level players this offseason, but for many offseasons to come!
