Potentially look to trade Myles Turner for a lot of future value
Aside from all of the drama going on with the Indiana Pacers, one NBA rumor that has been circulating around them for over a year now is the future of Myles Turner. The 25-year-old defensive-minded big man has seen his name pop up in NBA trade rumors since last offseason and apparently, the Hornets were a team that tried to trade for him at the deadline this year.
With two years and $35M remaining on his contract, Myles Turner is going to be a guy to keep an eye on in the offseason because he has a very moveable contract and his value is at an all-time high. Turner led the league in blocked shots during the 2018-19 season and before getting injured this year, he was leading the league in blocks again.

His 3.4 blocks per game this year is leading the league and while he will probably come up short of winning the Defensive Player of the Year award, he is definitely one of the premier shot-blockers and low-post defenders in this league.
The Pacers could look to capitalize on Turner’s value now, especially since he may not present much of an upside to the Pacers moving forward. He never has really grown into the two-way threat that they thought he could be and while Turner is coming off of a greatest season, it would be wise for Indiana to gauge interest in him to see if they can get a ton of value in return.
A team would probably be more than happy to offer up some draft assets and a young talent for Myles Turner, which is why the Pacers should explore this potential opportunity, especially if they are going to be looking for a new head coach and if TJ Warren does want to be traded.
