Russell Westbrook is perceived as a “bad locker room” player

For some reason, there has been a narrative that Russell Westbrook is a “bad locker room” player that nobody enjoys being around or playing with because he is selfish and a “ball hog.” Well, I hate to break the news on this one, but most of the great players in the league are “ball hogs” because that is how you score… you have to have the ball in your hands to be able to be great!

While everybody is entitled to their opinions on whether or not they enjoyed playing with Westbrook, his current teammate Bradley Beal was a guest appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio with host Brian Geltzeiler earlier in the season and claimed that Westbrook is “the best teammate he has ever had.”

Now, Bradley Beal is just one player saying this, but Beal isn’t just one ordinary player. He is arguably the best pure scorer in the league right now and was one of 22 players to be recognized as an All-Star this year in the All-Star game!

In the full interview, Bradley Beal went on to say that Westbrook is one the best leaders he has ever been around and that he holds everybody to the same standards that he holds himself to, which are to be great at everything he does.

Russell Westbrook does not deserve to be called a “bad teammate,” especially by people that have never been in one of his locker rooms or have never stepped out on the court with him. Westbrook is one of the best players in the NBA still and deserves to be respected as the star player he is.
