The Magic could have two first-round picks this year. They were sellers at the deadline and this landed them plenty of assets that they will use to retool. It began with the blockbuster deal that sent Nikola Vucevic to Chicago. Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon were next on their way out of Orlando. On draft night, the Magic could add a pair of prospects that could make an immediate impact.

The draft lottery will ultimately decide where the Magic end up in order. They have a chance to land the fourth pick in the draft and this is not where they would land Moses Moody. Orlando could be in a spot to land either Jalen Green or Jonathan Kuminga in the top five.

If this is the case, Moody would be the other half of a new-look backcourt. Markelle Fultz was expected to take a step this season but a torn ACL will make him wait until next year. The Magic has decided to completely rebuild from the ground up and Moody is a guard that could turn into an option to build around.

Orlando was a postseason team in each of the last two years. A poor first half this year made them completely sell and the draft is the time to rebuild. With two picks potentially in the top 10, the Magic could do this quickly.
