Philadelphia 76ers: Consistency

All season long, the Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the most dominant teams in the entire league and for good reason. When Joel Embiid is on the court, the 76ers have been almost unstoppable, posting a 29-8 record when he has played this season. In games without their MVP, the 76ers are just 9-9.

We know Embiid is going to get the job done when he is on the court and healthy, but the biggest x-factor for the 76ers this season is how many other key players they have contributing at a high-level. Ben Simmons is their “do-it-all” guy, Tobias Harris has stepped up and played much better than in previous years and then they have a bunch of other role players in Danny Green, Seth Curry, Shake Milton and Furkan Korkmaz who contribute by adding shooting depth.

Up and down this 76ers roster, it is clear to see that they have a winning formula set up and a real chance to make the NBA Finals, but consistency will be this team’s biggest question mark as they enter the playoffs. Can Tobias Harris continue to be that reliable #2 guy next to Joel Embiid and can the supporting cast continue to step up when it matters most?

The biggest worry for the 76ers is that they will have exerted all of their energy to prove themselves during the regular season that they will wind up running out of gas come time for their big series against the Bucks and or Nets.

When that time comes, will Tobias Harris be able to step up and knock down shots? Will Joel Embiid be able to carry the load for this team should someone else not be pulling their weight? We have seen some cracks with the 76ers this season when Embiid is not playing well or when he is off the court, which is why the Sixers are definitely vulnerable due to their consistency issues.
