San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are another team expected to make a run at Jarrett Allen in the offseason. They came into the season with plans to retool the roster and send away some of their veteran players. DeMar DeRozan survived the NBA trade deadline but is in the final year of his deal and will be leaving in NBA free agency.

LaMarcus Aldridge agreed to a buyout and is now with the Brooklyn Nets. The Spurs are beginning to fall behind a bit in the standings but still have a chance to clinch a postseason spot.

The Spurs are being led by DeRozan this season with 20.9 points per contest. He is not the future of the franchise though and San Antonio knows that they will have to build around other players. These players are Dejounte Murray and Keldon Johnson.

Derrick White is another guard that has been productive through 22 starts this season. San Antonio could work on bringing Jakob Poeltl back in the offseason as well. The backcourt is strong for the Spurs and the frontcourt could use some work. This is an overhaul that the franchise could be looking for.

Gregg Popovich is a coach that is not content with losing. There are some moves to be made and the front office of the Spurs can get them done. They have been one of the best franchises in the league over the last two decades and it is time to continue that trend.
