2. Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond was bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers last week and was free to sign wherever he wanted. It ultimately came down to two teams and the Boston Celtics were one that felt they had a good chance. In the end, Drummond went the other direction and chose the Los Angeles Lakers. This will create quite a frontcourt of Drummond and Anthony Davis, when he returns from injury.
The Celtics are not completely out of the race just yet. Andre Drummond is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent after the season. It is unknown where the Lakers want to spend their money.
The Lakers did just offer Dennis Schroder a four-year, $84 million deal that was turned down. Andre Drummond could fall through the cracks if Los Angeles is not serious about a long-term marriage.

Boston would not let a player like Andre Drummond fall through the cracks. He continues to be one of the best big men in the game. Drummond is averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. He is a true center and one that can dominate on both ends of the floor.
This is something that the Celtics have lacked and it has hurt them in the past. Andre Drummond is 27 years old and will be getting another big contract from somewhere. Boston seems like the perfect fit.
Drummond will become the starting center for the Lakers and will continue to showcase what he can do. It could be a bidding war in the offseason and Ainge will certainly be part of it.
