2. He Will Average At Least 20 Points Per Game
We have discussed the impact that Victor Oladipo will make on the defensive end of the court, but now let’s take a look at his offense.
Following his gruesome ruptured quad injury, it has taken Oladipo a couple of years to get his explosiveness back. He has a lot of that explosiveness back now. During his short time with the Rockets, Oladipo showed his ability to get to the rim and finish, while also creating open looks for himself.
In addition to his ability to score, Oladipo has always been a creator for his teammates as well. That will not change with the Heat, although his role will be a little different.
The Heat have to be excited to have a dynamic and explosive guard who can take pressure off of Jimmy Butler. Oladipo will have the ball in his hands quite often. He will be asked to look for his shot and score.
When everything is said and done for the rest of the season, Oladipo will average at least 20 points per game with the Heat. He isn’t going to be the “focal point” of the offense, but will have much easier work than he had with the Rockets or Pacers. Opposing defenses are going to focus on Butler and Adebayo as well, which will allow Oladipo to score much more efficiently.
