Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Lakers and sent to the Pelicans in the Anthony Davis trade. This season, Ball has started 38 games and is averaging 14.2 points per game. He is beginning to develop his three-point shot and could be an intriguing fit on the perimeter along with Zach LaVine in Chicago.

This is a simple trade. It would be a Ball-for-Markkanen swap. Markkanen is one of the most underrated bigs when he is on the floor but that has been the problem in recent years.

Markkanen has played just 22 games this season. He is scoring 17.7 points per game and fits the bill for the new trend of stretch fours in the league.
