This Bulls-Pelicans trade gives Lonzo Ball a fresh start

There have been some intriguing names surface on the NBA trading block in recent weeks. Lonzo Ball is one of the most interesting and the New Orleans Pelicans could look to give him a fresh start. If this is the case, the Chicago Bulls should take a long, hard look at Ball and see if he will be a good fit moving forward.

At the moment, the Bulls are ninth in the Eastern Conference and just a game and a half out of a playoff spot. They have been a team near the bottom of the conference for years now. The Bulls are once again being led by Zach LaVine, who is scoring 28.2 points per game.

He has been one name in NBA trade rumors along with Lauri Markkanen. Chicago has loaded up on some talent along the perimeter but the emergence of Wendell Carter Jr. could lead them to make another big deal involving their star forward.

The Pelicans are just looking to go in a different direction. They have two proven stars and will for a long time with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. In the offseason, Brandon Ingram signed a long-term extension and it will not be long before Zion Williamson gets paid.

The Pelicans have some veteran names that could be on the move such as Eric Bledsoe and J.J. Redick. Ball is not a veteran but he is someone who has had trouble getting comfortable in the league. Chicago could be the place where he finally finds a home and a strong fit.

This would be an interesting deal to see happen. Here is what it might take to get it done this week.
