Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are in an interesting position. If they look short-term, they are a team that could qualify for the postseason because of how weak the Eastern Conference has been. In the long-term, they could look to sell. At the moment, they have stood still but that could change as the NBA trade deadline comes this week.
Garrett Temple is on a one-year deal for the Bulls. He does not seem like a long-term option for the team which means that he should be sent away for a return. Anything is better than nothing at this point and that means some young players and draft capital.
Billy Donovan was brought into be the head coach of the Bulls in the offseason and this was a move to give them a true leader. He is the right man for the job and now it is about giving him the right roster.

Temple is a low-risk trade to send away. This is something that would not cause a big splash but it would be impactful for both sides right away moving forward.
