Why This Trade Would Benefit The Minnesota Timberwolves
At this point, it would be irresponsible not to trade Rubio. He is not a future piece and the Timberwolves are a long way away from competing in the Eastern Conference. They are currently at the bottom and have no hopes of improving this season.
We have seen many players from Minnesota included in trade rumors, outside of Anthony Edwards. After being taken first overall this year’s draft, Edward seems like the only player that is safe on the trading block. Towns is the biggest name and would give them the best return if you sent away.
Both Russell and Malik Beasley are showing their value at the right time which could benefit the Timberwolves moving forward. In this deal, they would dump a veteran point guard and get back some rotation players ready to contribute.
