JJ Redick – New Orleans Pelicans
If the Knicks are going to make a move at the NBA trade deadline, then they are going to look to add more scoring depth to their rotations, which is why J.J. Redick could be a realistic trade target for them. Not only does Redick want to play somewhere in the Northeast since he still lives in Brooklyn, but he would fit in well with the Knicks.
The veteran sharpshooter currently ranks 15th on the All-Time Three-Pointers Made list and with the Pelicans this year, JJ Redick is shooting 36.4% from three-point range. While they do not shoot many threes, the Knicks currently rank 11th in the league in three-point shooting percentage and could continue to benefit from having high-level perimeter threats.
The 15-year veteran shooting guard has always been one of the deadliest three-point shooters in the league over the course of his career and while he started off cold this year in New Orleans, JJ Redick could be an impactful bench player for the Knicks.

While he is owed $13M this season, JJ Redick is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, meaning the Knicks would not be tied down to the 36-year old guard long-term. It would almost be like New York is “renting” Redick for their playoff run, which could prove to be extremely beneficial.
You can never have too many perimeter threats on your team in today’s NBA, which is why JJ Redick is the best under-the-radar trade target for the New York Knicks to consider at this year’s NBA trade deadline.
