Why This Trade Would Benefit The Toronto Raptors
Kyle Lowry has done some great things for the Raptors over the course of his career. This includes being apart of the only championship team in franchise history. With the current direction of the team, they could look to dump Lowry’s contract in a trade.
We have seen some teams connected to Lowry but the Pelicans could be the surprise move. They would be able to send Toronto some more veterans in Bledsoe and Redick. They are starting-caliber guards that would be able to contribute right away.
Like New Orleans, the Raptors would have decisions to make at the end of the season. Redick is on an expiring contract and would like to play for a contender. The Raptors are not contending this season but this move would clear up some space for the front office to be aggressive in the offseason.
