Charlotte Hornets Receive: LaMarcus Aldridge

San Antonio Spurs Receive: Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Nick Richards, 2021 1st Round Pick (Lottery Protected)

LaMarcus Aldridge has been linked to the Miami Heat but the Charlotte Hornets would also be a nice fit. He would immediately become a starting forward and take over down low for a team that desperately needs it. This would help the Hornets rise to the next level.

In return, the Spurs would get Cody Zeller, who is on an expiring contract and is a no-risk player. Bismack Biyombo and Nick Richards, along with a first-round pick, would also be on the move. This would give the Spurs some assets in order to make other moves.

The Hornets appear to have a real chance to make a playoff push and could use another scoring lineup in the inside like Aldridge to diversify their half-court offense. He wouldn’t help much defensively but could be a nice scoring addition.
