Why This Trade Would Benefits The Los Angeles Clippers
For whatever reason, the first year of the new regime in Los Angeles did not work for the Clippers. They gave up a lot to acquire Paul George and some would say that they even took calls on him in the offseason. There was a glaring lack of depth and explosiveness at the point guard position and this was something they could look to improve.
There are moves to be made that could put Patrick Beverley back on the bench, where he is more impactful. Doug McDermott is not that option at the top of the offense but he is a reliable three-point shooter and a perimeter threat that could provide some valuable minutes off the bench.
This would be extremely beneficial for the Clippers as they look to make some moves in the postseason. This is a chance for the team to add some extra depth in a place where they could use it.
