Golden State Warriors Receive: G/F Evan Fournier, F Aaron Gordon

Orlando Magic Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, GSW 2023 1st Round Pick (Top-8 Protected)

The Orlando Magic have really struggled this season due to various injuries within their organization. As a result, this season is close to being called a “lost cause” for the Magic and they could wind up being big time “sellers” at the trade deadline as a result.

One player who was rumored to be a target of the Warriors early on in the season and could still be of value to them is Aaron Gordon. Now in his 7th season, the former #4 overall pick in 2014 has never turned into the high-motor, productive frontcourt player the Magic had hoped he would be and has reached the peak of his playing career.

He is not going to get any better than he already is and with him being under contract through next season, it could be better for Orlando to trade him now while his value is still high. The same can be said about Evan Fournier and his value since he is in the final year of his contract.

Both guys could definitely be impactful players for Golden State, which is why trading Wiggins for both of them could definitely be in play this season. Getting two impactful, high-level players for the cost of one and a future first-round pick would definitely be worth it for the Warriors this season, especially since they will be fighting to make the playoffs.

As stated before, the Warriors are not that strong of an offensive team, as they rank 22nd in the league in offensive efficiency, and outside of Stephen Curry, they do not have any true reliable offensive threats. Both Gordon and Fournier are averaging double-digit scoring numbers this season and combined, are averaging over 32 points per game.

They could provide Golden State with some much needed depth and more consistency on the offensive-end of the court, which is why this would definitely be a trade scenario for the Warriors to consider at the NBA trade deadline.
