Mike Muscala – OKC Thunder
Mike Muscala has been playing quite well this year for the Thunder, as he is averaging 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and is shooting 36.8% from three-point range. He is not really much of a factor defensively or on the glass, but he is more than capable of stepping out on the perimeter and knocking down a shot, something both Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol were great at in Toronto.
While it would be nice to add another reliable rebounder next to Siakam and Boucher, especially since Toronto ranks 30th in the league in rebounding, adding a big man who can stretch the floor and thrive in stepping out in pick-and-roll situations could be what they need to continue winning games during the second-half of the year.
Muscala is a very reliable “plug-and-play” center with his three-point shooting abilities being the best part of his game. With the veteran center only being owed $2.2M this season, the Raptors could easily make a trade for him work financially and then they could look to pursue another big man to help out with rebounding.

The point is Mike Muscala is a very affordable frontcourt option that could fit the Raptors’ system on offense quite well because of his ability to step out on the perimeter. His name has not come up in trade talks much over the last few weeks, but he is definitely a key role player that can still contribute meaningful minutes for any team in this league.
