Why This Trade Would Benefit The Dallas Mavericks
At this point, the Dallas Mavericks is a team just looking for a spark. This is why we have seen Kristaps Porzingis in NBA trade rumors because of the immediate impact it would have on the team. If they choose to go another direction and on a smaller scale, Fournier is a nice fit to the offense.
The Mavericks would have options with what to do with Fournier. He is in the final year of his contract and could re-sign in Dallas. It would also not impact the team too much if Fournier leaves in free agency because they did not have to give up much to get it.
Fournier is a player who can knock down an open three or create his own shot in the mid range game. Along with Doncic, Fournier would have even more open opportunities because of the attention that he draws.

This might not be a blockbuster move that Maverick trains are hoping for but it is one that would land them a solid player right away. Fournier would step right to a starting spot and be able to contribute each and every night.
