2. Austin Rivers, Guard, New York Knicks
Next up, the Lakers could take a long look at acquiring more help in the back-court. They need shooting, but they also need more ball-handling. Austin Rivers is a solid shooter, but not great, but he can handle the ball.
Rivers has been on quite a few championship contending teams in the past. Currently, he is a part of the impressive season that the Knicks have put together.
So far this season, Rivers has played in 21 games and started in two of those appearances. He has averaged 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Rivers has shot 43 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from the three-point line.
This would not be a trade to write home about, but the Lakers would still improve. Having guard depth is important and Rivers could play a valuable role down the stretch of the season.
