Why The Trade Benefits The Rockets

The new-look front office of the Rockets wasted no time in changing the look of this roster. They may not be done.

We have seen Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker featured in rumors and we are still unsure what Houston’s plan is with Victor Oladipo. If they can get some future assets for Gordon, they should pull the trigger.

Both Edwards and Langford are promising prospects with bright futures. They have not been able to play extended minuted in Boston and that has halted their progress. There are plenty of chances in Houston.

The Rockets would be able to insert them into the rotation and develop them on the floor. Houston would also land a first-round pick. The Rockets are not going to be the contenders that they are used to being. This is a position they could get back to quickly if they hit on the right moves.

It began with Westbrook and Harden and can continue with Tucker and Gordon. It will be interesting to see what the next move is for Houston.
