The Miami Heat have definitely been one of the most disappointing teams during the first-half of the NBA season, but over the last few weeks, this team has really started to turn things around. They have now won 10 of their last 13 games and are currently on a six game win streak, making them one of the hottest teams in the NBA, no pun intended!
As of right now, after being a few games out of the playoff race a couple weeks back, the Heat are 17-17 and tied for the 5-seed in the East. The turnaround this team has made is very impressive and they have been led by Jimmy Butler the whole way.
With Butler finally healthy and back on the court for the Heat, they look like a completely different team. While he is an All-Star level talent, Butler was left on the roster this year because of the time he missed, but he is still putting up All-Star-like numbers.
In 21 games this year, Butler is averaging 20.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.8 assists and is shooting 44.2% from the floor. The 5x All-Star knows what it takes to win and with his sidekick in Bam Adebayo averaging a double-double for the season, this Heat team is definitely trending in the right direction at the right time.
However, there are still some issues with this team that need to be addressed. They do not look like the same hungry and deep team that made the NBA Finals last season and have an overall lack of production offensively this year. They currently rank 25th in the league in scoring and 21st in three-point shooting percentage.

If this team is going to have any shot of defending their Eastern Conference Championship this season, then they are going to have to be aggressive near the trade deadline, which is why they may finally make a move for Victor Oladipo.
