Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers would benefit greatly from adding a player like DeMar DeRozan to the squad. DeRozan has played at an All-Star level in the league for quite some time and could help the Pacers pursue a deep playoff run.
Already on the Pacers’ roster is NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis along with Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, and soon, Caris LeVert. Adding a dynamic offensive threat like DeMar DeRozan into the mix could quickly help the Pacers to rise up the ranks in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers sorely lack a legitimate isolation scoring threat and DeRozan has been among the NBA’s best for many years. he is also a highly impactful pick-and-roll ball handler who can even get a bucket against mismatches in the post. There’s a lot to his game that goes beyond being a mid-range threat.

Malcolm Brogdon has shown to be incapable of leading a successful offense as the primary perimeter playmaking threat. DeRozan, on the other hand, has a strong track record of being able do so. Both players could fit cohesively together by having Brogdon revert back more to being an off-the-catch threat.
