Why the Warriors could consider a Victor Oladipo trade

As the NBA trade deadline approaches, the Houston Rockets could look to be sellers. A particularly intriguing name that appears primed to be moved is Victor Oladipo, one again. If he finds himself back in NBA trade rumors, the Golden State Warriors could look to capitalize.

The Warriors, who currently rank eighth in the Western Conference, are in need of some help at the shooting guard position and Victor Oladipo could be the guy they go after. Klay Thompson will be unable to return to the lineup until next season and a better option is needed in the meantime.

In a perfect world, the Warriors would love to add Bradley Beal to the roster, but that would be quite costly. It’s also not even known if he would be available to be had for a team until he outright asks to be moved. Will that even happen during the season? It remains unclear. Hence the reason they should look to acquire Victor Oladipo from the Rockets.

Oladipo is one of the better shooting guards in the NBA and despite his obvious talent he won’t break the bank to be traded for from the Rockets. He will still cost a pretty penny, but his price tag is much more reasonable than some other shooting guards on the market.

Victor Oladipo has mentioned that he wants to play in Miami, but he may have to wait until after the season to sign with them. In the meantime, here’s a look at three reasons why the Golden State Warriors should consider a trade for the two-time All-Star.
