Celtics Are Missing That One “Spark” To Get Them Over The Hump

When you look at the Boston Celtics roster this year, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker standout as the stars on this team, but outside of them, they do not have anyone else that scares opponents. Marcus Smart is a solid two-way player, but not really a big threat, their frontcourt is a mess and their best bench scorer is a rookie.

This team needs that fourth big time option they can turn to for production if they are going to compete with the likes of the 76ers, Nets and Bucks, which is why Myles Turner is the perfect fit for this team.

With his abilities to be a factor on both ends of the court and be a threat to shoot as a center, Myles Turner could greatly affect this Boston Celtics team and not only help bring them to the NBA Finals but possibly help them win a championship.

In Indiana, Myles Turner is not utilized as much as he should be on the offensive-end of the court, leading to his scoring numbers not looking appealing. Not to mention, he only plays about 30 minutes per game.

In Boston, Turner would likely see 35+ minutes per game and his overall offensive production will increase because of the more shots he will get on pick-and-roll opportunities. As a result, Turner could average upwards of 16+ points per game and could increase his outside shooting percentage to around 36%!

Acquiring Myles Turner is the only move the Boston Celtics should be zeroed in on making before this season’s NBA trade deadline. They have the draft assets and personnel to be able to make this trade happen, the only question is if they are truly willing to do what it takes to win another title.
