Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
The Rockets’ intentions with Victor Oladipo are unknown. They are clearly a rebuilding team after sending James Harden and Russell Westbrook away in trades. The speed that they implemented to get Oladipo could mean that they have a plan for the former all-star.
Houston signed Christian Wood in the offseason and he has looked like the real deal. John Wall is back to playing at a high-level now that he is healthy. If the Rockets plan was to add Victor Oladipo for the future, then an extension could be signed.
If they have no plan of that then trading Victor Oladipo would make sense given his impending free agency. The Rockets brought in a new-look front office and head coach and Stephen Silas. They have made some big moves already in there could be more on the table.
The Rockets have been a relevant team for many years now. They were never able to win in the postseason with Harden and will be looking to rebuild soon. Whether it is signing Oladipo trading him again, there will be something done soon.
