Why This Trade Would Benefit The Washington Wizards

Unlike the Miami Heat, the Washington Wizards are not a win-now team and is looking to rebuild. This could mean sending away their big-name players such as Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook.

The Wizards will be able to get many assets back in this deal that can help them for a long time. If Bradley Beal is truly unhappy, it would benefit the team greatly to send him away. He has looked visibly distraught with the current make up of the Wizards on the floor.

Players like Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn are young assets that could attract other free agents to come to town. Washington would also get a huge contract off the books which gives them more flexibility moving forward.

Bradley Beal is a win-now player. The Wizards right now are not a win-now team and this is why the fit has not worked over the past couple years. It will be interesting to see where Beal goes and what the return is if Washington end up dealing him.
