Why This Trade Would Benefit The Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons had a relatively busy offseason signing players like Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee. Grant is off to a hot start this season in the first year of a three-year deal he signed with Detroit. This is another team that has some moves that could be made at the deadline.
With the current state of the franchise, veteran players like Griffin and Rose do not fit into the plan. Dwane Casey has a ton of work to do as head coach of this team. If Detroit is looking to get younger, this trade would help them immediately.
Knox II could use a season out of New York with less pressure. He has been extremely inconsistent throughout his career and has already been labeled a bust in the Big Apple. Bullock is a solid NBA player with ability from three-point range.
These are two capable shooters that would fill up the perimeter for the Pistons. This would come in handy when the top option within the offense is a big man. This would give Grant some options on the perimeter to kick the ball out too. This move may not win either team a championship, but it would help them accomplish the short term.
