Trade No. 1

Golden State Warriors Receive: G Bradley Beal, F Troy Brown Jr.

Washington Wizards Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, F Eric Paschall, G Mychal Mulder, GSW 2022 1st Round Pick, GSW 2025 1st Round Pick

Out of all the trades that could be offered for Beal, this one is definitely the most balanced trade for both sides. Wiggins and Paschall are two young and great two-way players and could contribute to Washington immediately.

Right now, the Washington Wizards currently are in last place in the NBA and are not going anywhere anytime soon. Everyday that goes by, the Russell Westbrook trade looks worse and worse for the Wizards and it is yet to be seen what his future in D.C. looks like, but the Wizards need to continue building for the future.

Andrew Wiggins is just 25-years old and Eric Paschall is 24-years old. Both of these guys can be a part of Washington’s core for years to come and are two high-level talents that are continuing to grow as NBA players.

Of course the Wizards do not want to trade away Bradley Beal, but getting two guys in Paschall and Wiggins would definitely make up for the scoring loss of trading Beal, as would the first-round picks they would be receiving. Trading away Troy Brown Jr. is also a win for Washington as he has not developed into the player they had hoped.

His role with the Wizards this season is very minimal and with them getting Andrew Wiggins and Eric Paschall on the wing and low-post, they would not need Troy Brown Jr. anymore. For the Warriors, Brown Jr. could be a player they look to develop into a two-way player on the wing and we all have our ideas of what a backcourt of Bradley Beal, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson could look like.

Overall, this is not a terrible trade for either side, the two questions that remain though are what Washington’s asking price for Beal is and if the Warriors are even willing to give up their future to obtain Beal. Ultimately, it seems like Washington would look somewhere else to trade the 2x All-Star guard, but the Warriors can definitely offer some intriguing trade packages.
