Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

The Eastern Conference has only improved this season. The Miami Heat was the representative in the NBA Finals a season ago and they are off to a slow start. Teams like the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are looking to take over. The Boston Celtics are right there and could use that piece to get over the hump.

Bradley Beal is the perfect piece. At 27-years old, Beal is in the final year of a five-year deal he signed with the Wizards but has a two-year extension beginning next season. He is playing the best ball of his NBA career this season. Unfortunately, it is coming in losing efforts. This would not be the case in Boston.

The Celtics needed to add some firepower down low to complement Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown but they did not do much other than sign Tristan Thompson. A way to make up for it would be to add a player like Beal on the perimeter. He is a scorer at all levels and would help their prowess from beyond the arc.

This would be a move that would gain much attention in the Eastern Conference. One thing is for sure. Beal deserves a change of scenery after spending his entire career in Washington.
