Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

If the Boston Celtics are still looking for a big man, Kristaps Porzingis could be the perfect fit. He has struggled with injury but has a dynamic skill-set on both ends of the floor. He is a player who can help take the Celtics to the championship level.

Porzingis is a star in the NBA. He showed that during his time with the Knicks but wanted out of New York and landed in Dallas. This proves to be the right move as the Mavericks found their way in the postseason last year.

Now, Porzingis can continue to climb up the ladder and play for one of the best teams in the NBA. Boston would not have to give up a ton of draft capital in this deal. Porzingis would solidify the frontcourt right away alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Boston had three picks in the first round of the draft and free agency to improve the frontcourt. Thompson was their lone move and it was not good enough to excite fans. This is a move that would show that they are ready to take that next step.
