Why This Trade Would Benefit The Brooklyn Nets
Kyrie Irving was originally sent to the Boston Celtics from the Cleveland Cavaliers. He then decided to sign with the Brooklyn Nets in NBA free agency to team up with Kevin Durant. So far, he has played seven games and missed the last four. It is unknown when Irving plans to return to the court.
Russell Westbrook has also played seven games this season for the Washington Wizards. He is averaging 19.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game so far. Westbrook is a triple-double threat every time he steps on the floor, having logged three already this season.
It would be interesting to see how the connection between Westbrook and Durant would be on the floor following all of the issues that happened after Durant’s departure. These are two players that know how to play together and have a long history on and off the floor.
The Nets have one thing on their minds moving forward — winning an NBA title. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were never able to get to that level in Oklahoma City and could have a chance to get there in Brooklyn.
