New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Mike Conley
Utah Jazz Receive: Eric Bledsoe, JJ Redick, Nicolo Melli
Eric Bledsoe and JJ Redick are two big names who could be on the move in this deal. They are players with great postseason experience and ready to contribute to a contending team. At the moment, that is not the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Utah Jazz fit in well for both players. They would be able to send Mike Conley over to the Pelicans. Yes, Conley is an aging star who wouldn’t be a long-term answer for New Orleans, but he has an expiring deal and could perhaps re-sign for a reasonable amount.
This means it would likely be a short-term commitment for the Pelicans while they unload other veterans. Ultimately, Conley’s fit alongside Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson would be cleaner than Bledsoe, too.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal benefits both sides.
