One of the biggest names on the NBA trade market for months now has been Victor Oladipo. For whatever reason, the Indiana Pacers have decided to hold onto their All-Star. If he is still on the trading block, the Miami Heat could be a team to swoop in and make a deal.
Oladipo is in the final year of his contract with the Pacers, which made many think that he would be sent away. So far, Indiana has held onto him but they could just be waiting for the right deal.
Since the Pacers did not sign Oladipo to a long-term deal, Indiana could look to trade him before he is eligible to leave in free agency. There are many teams that would appreciate the services of an NBA All-Star caliber guard and one of them is the Heat.
The Heat are a team that is ready to win now. They made a surprise run through the Eastern Conference to the NBA Finals during the restart but were taken out by the Los Angeles Lakers. They have a dynamic duo in Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo and could look to make it a big three. Miami has expressed interest in adding another superstar whether it is this year or next offseason.
If they were able to make this trade, Miami would not have to wait long. Here is what it might take to get Oladipo to the Heat.
