Malik Monk would have a chance to learn under one of the best to ever do it in LeBron James, which would help his game and directly help the Lakers if he is able to improve. He also wouldn’t be asked to do too much. James and Anthony Davis have that taken care of.

Alfonzo McKinnie is a trade piece for Los Angeles, one of many right now for the Lakers. McKinnie, along with the second-round pick, might be able to get this trade done before the Lakers. That would all depend on how the Hornets currently feel about Monk.
