Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Miami Heat

If there is one thing we all know about Pat Riley, it is that he wants to win and will do anything it takes to make sure his team is winning and in contention for championships. He was the mastermind behind getting LeBron James and Chris Bosh to Miami back in 2010 and brought in Jimmy Butler to lead the Miami Heat last NBA offseason.

Riley and the Miami Heat front office are always targeting NBA superstars and All-Star level players, which is why going after Bradley Beal would not be surprising. When both Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo went down in the NBA Finals for the Heat, it was clear to see Jimmy Butler was the only consistent scorer for the Heat and if they are to have any shot at winning an NBA title, they need to bring in another legit scorer so Jimmy Butler can do what he does best defensively.

Although it may cost them young talents like Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn, Bradley Beal is a much better player than both of them. What Bradley Beal brings to the Miami Heat is the second coming of “The Big 3” with Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal and Bam Adebayo as the future of the Miami Heat.

Butler and Beal are in the primes of their careers, much like LeBron and Wade were during the “Big 3 era,” and Bam Adebayo is still getting better, which is a scary sight for teams around the league. If the opportunity arises where Bradley Beal wants out of Washington and Miami is a destination he would want to go play for, the Heat must pull the trigger.

This would be too good of an opportunity to pass up if you are Pat Riley and being able to assemble a team like this hypothetical one with Bradley Beal would keep the Heat at the top of the Eastern Conference for years to come.
