Why This Trade Benefits The Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks are off to a hot start this NBA season. They are 3-1 and have scored 120 or more points in all three games. Trae Young has this team playing at a high level and that has a chance to continue. Their free agent moves are paying off early and they might not be done.
Atlanta is a team that likes to play fast and shoot three’s at a high rate. This fits in to what Kuzma likes to do. He is a hit-or-miss player. We have seen him catch fire and put together long scoring runs.
We have also seen Kuzma at his worst when he is turning the ball over and barely grazing the rim on shots. In a backcourt with Young, the Hawks would give Kuzma free reign to fire away. Tucker is another interesting part of this deal. He showed out during the preseason and at just 20-years old, has a long future ahead of him.
Kuzma and Tucker fit in better with a team like Atlanta right now. There are better role players out there for Los Angeles. The Hawks could use these two pieces to continue their hot start and hopefully contend for a playoff spot this NBA season.
